Lifetime Tattoo in Derby is a studio on the up, specialising 100% in custom only designs it has just added a second floor to its premises in Monk Street, which also incorporates a live venue and gallery space. Owner, Ben Stone now has a studio that boasts 5 fulltime artists, including J.Fallows, Theresa Gordon Wade, Jen and John, whilst there are regular guest spots from international tattooers. Ben started Tattooing back in 1998, when friend Joolz (Englands infamous punk poetess and now tattooer) bought him his first machine, "I was always talking about tattooing, and being bought the machine was the kick up the arse I needed to start" Ben states with relief. A brief half apprenticeship at Temple Tattoo in Brighton under the guiding wing of Adam Starfish, saw the two friends move up North and set up their own shop Tradition 180. 2 years ago, the friends amicably went their separate ways, and Ben wanting to give the studio a facelift, gave it the name Lifetime.
